what actually moves them.

The Next Chapter
Asks Something Different

An inflection point isn’t a harder version of the same problem.

It’s a different kind of moment. When the strategy that built what
you have, the leadership that scaled it, and the energy that carried it have all reached their limit.

What got you here was the right answer for what you were building. The next chapter doesn’t ask for more of it. It asks where your organization goes next, and who you need to become to create it.

That’s a different kind of work. Not more effort applied to the old approach, but a shift in how you see, how you lead, and how
you sustain. This isn’t a problem to solve. It’s an identity to evolve.

Hi. I’m Justin.

Executive Coach & Strategic Advisor

I’ve always been drawn to what’s underneath the surface. The deeper patterns shaping leaders, organizations,
and the markets they create.

I help leaders design what their organizations need next.
And become who they need to be to create it.

From

The Work

Transformation unfolds across three dimensions, each depending on the others.
Strategy reveals the path. Leadership embodies it. Energy sustains it.

Vision

Strategy Design

Strategy Design

Strategy reveals the path.

At a certain point, the approaches that built what you have stop taking it further.
Growth that once compounded now slows.
The limit isn’t in the effort, but in what you can’t yet see.

The Work

Strategy is the work of
expanding what you can see.

Not choosing between the options in front of you, but changing which options are in front of you at all. The work is questioning the assumptions everyone in your industry operates on, until something else becomes visible.

This is creative work. The same instincts that drive good design let strategy reveal what isn't yet there rather than refine what already is.

It means reframing the problem and paying attention
to what's almost visible at the edges. Often it means combining what others keep separate, or designing a category that doesn't yet exist.

Why It Matters

What you can see determines what
your organization can become.

Stay inside the familiar view, and even your best execution keeps you in place.
Widen what you can see, and what was hidden becomes possible.
Opportunities others miss, directions only you can take.

In Practice

Strategy Immersions

The next chapter is hard to see from inside the current one. Several days with your leadership team to challenge assumptions, uncover opportunities, and shape your direction.

Positioning & Category

The strongest position is the one that’s truly yours. Working closely with you to sharpen what sets you apart, claim the ground others aren’t competing for, and define
a category you can own.

Strategic Planning

The clearest strategy is one you can act on, not just admire. Working with your team to turn direction into the priorities that matter most, and a clear roadmap to pursue them.

Presence

Leadership Development

Leadership Development

Leadership embodies it.

The next chapter requires a different leader. Even when it’s you.
The organization has evolved. The role has changed. The demands have grown.
But you’re still leading the way that built it.

The Work

Leadership is identity
and action as one practice.

The way you lead isn't a skillset. It's who you are, made visible. In what you hold onto, what you hand off, and the decisions that still wait for you.

A new approach, layered over an old identity, never quite takes hold. You show up as your old self, just better equipped. And this chapter isn't asking for more of the same leader. It's asking you to become who it requires.

This is identity-level work. It closes the gap between who you've been and who you're becoming. Practiced long enough, a new way of leading becomes who you are.

Why It Matters

Your organization can't outgrow who you are.

Everyone inside it calibrates to you.
What you prioritize, what you tolerate, who you become under pressure.
Strategy can shift and values can be rewritten, but the organization still organizes around you.
That’s the ceiling, and the work of leadership is raising it.

In Practice

Executive Coaching

The deepest leadership work is hard to do alone. Sustained one-on-one partnership through the shifts the next chapter asks of you, until new ways of leading become who you are.

Team Immersions

A team of strong leaders isn't the same as a strong team. Focused work with your senior leadership team to build alignment, so individual strength becomes collective, and they lead as one.

Growing Leaders

A leader’s deepest impact is the leaders they grow. Developing
the next generation within, so leadership runs deeper than any one person, and the organization rises with them.

Resonance

Energy Dynamics

Energy Dynamics

Energy sustains it.

You can have the right plan and the right people, yet nothing quite holds.
Effort meets friction. Good ideas lose speed. Momentum never finds its footing.
The cause isn’t strategy or leadership. It’s the state underneath them.

The Work

Energy is the climate
organizations operate in.

Organizations are living systems, with flows of creativity, trust, and attention. Energy determines whether those flows move or stall.

You can’t see it directly, but you can see what it produces. Meetings that expand possibility or quietly drain it. Brilliant hires who thrive, or somehow never quite do. Ideas that gather momentum, or slowly disappear.

It’s the state a leader operates from, the dynamics between people, the culture that forms between them, and what the market feels from it. Invisible, but readable
in its effects. And like every other part of an organization,
it can be designed.

Why It Matters

What moves an organization forward
happens in the space between.

Between a leader and a team. Between one team and the next.
Between an organization and the market it shapes.

When those connections are alive, change moves faster than anyone could push it.
When they aren’t, the same change stalls, and no one can quite say why.

That’s resonance. And it’s the difference between an organization
that carries what you build and one that quietly lets it fall.

In Practice

Executive Rhythm

Every leader has a natural way
of working, a state where the work flows instead of drains. Finding yours, then redesigning how you lead around it, so your energy builds through the work instead
of being spent by it.

Team Dynamics

Every person on a team has a natural way of working, and most teams have never seen each other's. Uncovering where each person naturally thrives, to build teams by design, and put the right work with the right people.

Organizational Flow

Growth always bottlenecks somewhere, and it's somewhere different in every organization.
A system, a process, a structure
no one questions. Tracing where the flow tightens, then redesigning it to expand.

Partnerships

No two inflection points are alike.

Some need a few focused days. Some need a partner through the whole next chapter.
The work begins by understanding which one you’re in.

Partnerships

Partnership Pathways

The right engagement for your moment.

No two inflection points are alike. Sometimes direction has to change, and it's hard to see from inside. Sometimes it's the leader, asked to become who the next chapter requires. Sometimes it's growth, stalling somewhere underneath. And sometimes it's everything at once.

Every engagement is designed around your moment: a few focused days, sustained work over months, or a partner through the whole next chapter.

The Work

One dimension opens every partnership. All three carry it forward.

My Story

I was creative from the beginning. I loved making things. I loved writing and design. I loved to dream. I was sensitive and quiet, empathetic by nature. I preferred the company of elders and the deep conversations we would have. I preferred to chart my own course and follow my own interests.

I always had a deep inner drive to be successful. I earned an MBA by twenty-four. I completed my design studies at RISD by twenty-seven. And I started my own firm at the height of the 2008 financial crisis. Everyone told me to find a job. To do what was safe. To seek security and consistency. Those words went against everything I believed.

The next decade brought far more success than I ever imagined. The business was thriving. I was working with notable clients around the world. The firm became synonymous with good design.

From the outside, I was the picture of success. The buildings, the cars, the art. Yet deep within, I was unhappy. I would wake up every day with a sinking feeling I could not explain. I felt I was living someone else's life. My days were all the same: working from dawn to night on projects that no longer brought me joy, work I had lost my passion for long ago.

Deep in the night, I would wonder. Is this all there is? How can this possibly go on forever? Can I even begin again? I was questioning everything. My career, my purpose, the very foundation I had built my life on. I knew something had to change. I know now that this is what an inflection point feels like from the inside.

So the journey began. I immersed myself in human potential, presence, the inner dynamics of leadership. I trained as a coach and studied with some of the best. For the first time in years, I was not competing. I was creating from a different source entirely. And I began coaching leaders through transformations of their own.

Then I noticed something. Leaders would leave sessions transformed, then hit walls in organizations designed for who they used to be. And I had spent over a decade watching brilliant strategies fail from the other side, because they did not account for the people who had to carry them. Strategy without the leader. Coaching without the business. Each valuable but incomplete.

That insight became Clapp & Co. The integration of what is usually kept separate. And it shaped who the work is for. I partner with leaders and organizations at inflection points, because I have stood at one. We are always best positioned to help who we once were.

How I Work

I work with a small number of leaders and organizations at a time, from Dubai and Boston, with clients worldwide. Some of these partnerships are one-on-one, others are with a full leadership team, or reach across an entire organization. My team of associates are strategists, coaches, and facilitators I have worked with for years.
